Overview

Tao Cheng's Translator is a member of the Los Santos Triads who primarily serves as the personal translator and handler of Tao Cheng. He appears in Grand Theft Auto V and later returns in Grand Theft Auto Online during The Diamond Casino & Resort storyline.

Grand Theft Auto V

The translator accompanies Tao Cheng during meetings with Trevor Philips on behalf of Wei Cheng. He attempts to keep negotiations under control and later reveals that the Cheng family chose to work with the O'Neil brothers instead of Trevor.

Grand Theft Auto Online

Years later, the translator continues to work for Tao Cheng and the Cheng family during the conflict surrounding The Diamond Casino & Resort. As Tao gradually learns English and becomes more independent, the translator begins to lose his importance within the organization.

Personality

The translator is calm, cautious and diplomatic. Unlike many other members of the Triads, he usually avoids direct violence and often appears nervous around unpredictable figures such as Trevor Philips or Avery Duggan.
