Oscar Guzman is a supporting character in Grand Theft Auto V and a main character in Grand Theft Auto Online. He is a Mexican pilot and gunrunner who previously worked with Trevor Philips and later becomes central to the Oscar Guzman Flies Again content in GTA Online.

Background

Oscar was born in Mexico and became involved in gunrunning for cartels. He later operated in the United States, where he avoided conflict with powerful Mexican gangs by making peace with the Vagos and paying off the Madrazo Cartel. He also competed with groups such as the Varrios Los Aztecas and Marabunta Grande.

Events of Grand Theft Auto V

In Grand Theft Auto V, Oscar works with Trevor Philips as a weapons buyer and contact. Trevor delivers arms stolen from The Lost MC to Oscar, and if Trevor purchases the McKenzie Field Hangar, Oscar helps set up air and ground trafficking deals. He is also contacted by Ron Jakowski during Trevor's attempt to sell weapons from a hijacked Merryweather cargo plane.

Events of Grand Theft Auto Online

In early 2025, Oscar returns when the McKenzie Field Hangar is put up for sale. After the GTA Online Protagonist acquires the property, Oscar becomes their partner in a renewed arms trafficking operation. After Eberhard Munitions destroys one of their arms deals, Oscar helps the protagonist steal equipment, sabotage Eberhard operations and ultimately seize the Titan 250 D gunship.

Trivia

Based on his voicemail, Oscar Guzman is implied to be a cocaine user. In the original versions of Grand Theft Auto V, his cutscene model had a unique haircut model that was later reused and updated for his older Grand Theft Auto Online appearance.
